Hello Indivisibles,
NO KINGS 2 ON OCTOBER 18TH is on pace to be the biggest nationwide protest this country has ever seen. There will be large protests in big cities AND there will be protests in thousands of smaller cities and towns all across this country!
This is the statement from the NO KINGS resistance movement:
Our peaceful movement is only getting bigger and stronger. “NO KINGS” is more than just a slogan—it’s the foundation our nation was built upon. Born in the streets, carried by millions in chants and on posters, it echoes from city blocks to rural town squares, uniting people across this country to fight dictatorship together.
The president thinks his rule is absolute. But in America, we don’t have kings, and we won’t back down against chaos, corruption, and cruelty. Grow our movement and join us.
Here in the Islands we will be part of the NO KINGS 2 protest with our own event on Saturday October 18. This event will have TWO parts which will join up:
1 – A car/truck caravan starting in Alburgh
2 – A rally in South Hero
The theme of this event is: NO KINGS – LET FREEDOM RING
CARAVAN
CARAVAN MEET AT: 1:30 pm – MISSILE BASE ROAD, ALBURGH (just north of the Welcome Center). Please be there at least 15 minutes early. In order to be sure that we included all of our Island communities, this caravan starts in Alburgh and will travel through Isle La Motte, then down through North Hero, Grand Isle to South Hero. We would like to have as many as possible start with us in Alburgh, but if that doesn’t work for you, we have two “hubs” where the caravan will be pulling in and you can join there.
The first hub is at the North Hero School, estimated arrival time of the caravan is 2:00 pm.
The second hub is at Knight Point State Park, estimated arrival time is: 2:15 pm
The Caravan will then proceed down Rt 2 to the complex where Wally’s and the Worthen Library are in South Hero.
If you plan to join the caravan at either of the two hubs, please arrive at least 10-15 minutes early, as times are approximate. Be aware that the caravan may run late due to traffic, etc. Please park facing OUT so that you can easily fall in behind the caravan and not have to back up or turn around.
If you will be in the caravan, please decorate your car/truck with signs of liberty and freedom: US flags, bunting, etc. And if you have any, please bring bells to ring along the way.
If you are planning to be in the caravan, please let us know!!! And let us know if you will be joining in Alburgh, or the North Hero school or Knight Point State Park. Please email your plans to IndivisibleChamplainIslands@gmail.com.
RALLY IN SOUTH HERO
RALLY IN SOUTH HERO, 2:30 PM, COMMUNITY LANE (In front of Worthen Library down sidewalk to Two Hero’s Brewery).
This will be a NO KINGS – LET FREEDOM RING Rally and Protest. We are making sequential “This is Fascism” signs to have along the highway. Please view this link for an example:

If you would like to hold one of these signs at the rally, please dress in black, if possible. A black mask is optional. You are also welcome to bring your own protest signs.
When the caravan arrives, they will join the protesters already in South Hero. NOTE: You can choose to be in the caravan and end up at the rally in South Hero, or you can just be at the rally in South Hero awaiting the caravan.
At 4:00 pm, we will have a brief “Let Freedom Ring” ceremony and ring bells of freedom. PLEASE BRING BELLS IF YOU HAVE THEM!! Then all who wish, will retire to Two Hero’s for socializing and strategizing.
SIGN-MAKING MEETING: this Sunday, October 12, 3:00 – 5:00 pm. We need help creating the signs for No Kings 2. We will have the materials and the messages on stencils to transfer to the signs. But we need help in doing the painting. You can also come and create your own signs if you prefer. These sessions are always a lot of fun! Please come lend a hand and have a great time.
NO KINGS 2 IS A NATION-WIDE, ALL HANDS ON DECK DAY. PLEASE PLAN TO PARTICIPATE.
I look forward to seeing all of you on October 18th.
Thank you. This is the most amazing group I have ever been associated with. I appreciate all of your work and dedication.
