DEFEND DEMOCRACY WEEKLY PROTESTS BEGINNING FRIDAY MARCH 6TH.

Indivisible Champlain Islands will start holding weekly protests on Friday afternoons, 4:00 – 5:00 at the intersection of Ferry Rd (Rt 314) and Rt. 2 in Keeler Bay, South Hero. 

We intend to make our voices heard and stand up to defend our freedoms.  This is how our community pushes back. By standing together, out in the open, for what’s right.

A peaceful, visible show of resistance—neighbors standing up, speaking out, and refusing to look away as harm, cruelty, and democratic erosion continue at the national level. Showing up locally helps sustain national movements by making opposition visible, consistent, and impossible to ignore.  And everywhere.

Public presence matters. It breaks isolation, counters fear, and reminds people—on the sidewalk and in passing cars—that they are not alone.  It invites people to join the movement against this would-be authoritarian takeover

Bring a sign. Bring a flag. Bring a friend. Dress for the weather.  Beginning March 6th.

NO KINGS 3, SATURDAY MARCH 28TH

This will be the biggest NATIONWIDE protest against this Regime so far.  There were 7 MILLION people at No Kings 2 events (300 at our local event in South Hero).  How many will there be for No Kings 3??  This will be a call to action for All Indivisibles. 

MAY 1

There are plans for a NATIONWIDE action on May 1.  But I do not know what form this event will have yet.

MAY 8

A Statewide action is being planned by the ICE Out of Vermont Alliance at the ICE facility in St. Albans (or possibly the CBP facility instead).  Plans are still in flux but the date seems firm.
