Hello Indivisibles,

I sincerely hope all of you will be able to spend joyous time with your loved ones this week.

Be thankful for the wonders in your life and for each other.  Look around at your neighbors and see if any of them may need a bit of something to give them something to be thankful for, and if you can, provide it.

FOOD DRIVE: DECEMBER 6, 11:00 – 1:00, ST. JOSEPH’S CHURCH, GRAND ISLE

We will be kicking into high gear on this event right after Thanksgiving.  Feel free to tell your friends and neighbors and family about it over Thanksgiving.  Thanks to all of you who have signed up to volunteer!  It has been a great response so far.

BOYCOTT

Indivisible is also participating in the nationwide BOYCOTT this week.  See the message from Indivisible below:

We’re joining in on the We Ain’t Buyin’ It initiative, which aims to take back our dollars from businesses that have shown support to the Trump administration. We don’t think we should give any money to the companies that are undermining our democracy. So, from November 27 to December 1, join us in a powerful economic boycott of Amazon, Target, and Home Depot. Instead, support small, local businesses or mutual aid efforts in your community.

Holding them accountable

• Target caved to Trump and rolled back their diversity, equity, and inclusion policies.
• Home Depot has failed to protect immigrants in their stores as ICE continues to conduct violent raids on their property.
• Amazon has funded the Trump administration through donations and discounted government contracts (including for ICE), all in exchange for massive corporate tax breaks. 

Let’s use our power to show businesses that we won’t let OUR money be used to support dehumanizing actions and policies we don’t agree with. 

Thursday (Thanksgiving): Don’t spend a dime; spend family time 

Friday: Blackout Black Friday 

Saturday: Shop local, shop Black, shop Immigrant, shop POC 

Sunday: Mutual aid, support one another

Monday: Digital blackout

Do your best to support small businesses and local businesses.  They have been hit hard by Trump’s tariff ‘policies’ and need our support far more than the mega corporations do.
